Aircraft hangars are extremely large buildings, and their fire safety requirements are very high. Fire protection in hangars typically employs systems such as high-expansion foam extinguishing systems. Based on the building area of fire compartments, aircraft hangars are classified into Class I (5001㎡~50000㎡), Class II (3001㎡~5000㎡), and Class III (≤3000㎡). Aircraft parking and maintenance areas must belong to different fire compartments from adjacent auxiliary production buildings (such as office buildings, maintenance workshops, and aircraft parts warehouses).

When aircraft are stored in hangars, they must be moored according to the aircraft maintenance manual, and necessary protection must be provided for critical components such as engines, landing gear, and pitot tubes to prevent the entry of foreign objects or damage from severe weather.
